How long will my cupcakes last?
Retro Bakery cupcakes are meant to be eaten the day of purchase. There are no preservatives in our buttercream, Baby!
However, if you keep them in an air-tight container, they should stay fresh for at least a couple days. There is no need for refrigeration, but you need to keep them below 76 degrees.
(But, come on. Can YOU wait a couple days to eat your cupcakes? I didn’t think so.)
What’s in your buttercream?
BUTTER. That’s it. No shortening allowed.
Do you deliver?
We will deliver any order over $50 and during the day where we have time (plus a $15 delivery fee). It’s only TWO of us running the place, remember?
How many people will one of Retro’s cakes feed?
12-15 people.
Do you write on the cakes?
I don’t write ON the cakes. The cakes are decorated in the same way the cupcakes are, BUT, I can personalize your cake box with any saying you want.
Why don’t you have bread?
I don’t know how to bake bread…and our cupcakes ARE that good.
Do you do wedding cupcakes or special event cupcakes?
Yes! Please come in and talk to us about your event, and we can create something VERY special for you! The more notice you give, the better…but if you just want our standard flavors with some different colored buttercream, 24 hours notice is fine!
HEY! You took my favorite flavor off your cupcake menu! Can you make it for me?
Give me a little notice, and I can make anything you USED to see on our menu…but you need to order at least one dozen of THAT flavor.
Do you have any pre-made cakes or mini cupcakes?
No. All of our cakes and mini cupcakes are made to order, so they’ll be the freshest they can be for when YOU need them! Just call me the day before, and they’ll be waiting for you the next day!
Can I buy just one mini cupcake?
No. I sell minis by the dozen, but you can have TWO flavors per dozen for $12.
What happened to your PIE menu?
The demand for Retro cupcakes FAR exceeded the demand for pies…but we may have them around during the holidays for on a first come, first served basis!
What’s YOUR favorite cupcake flavor?
Our favorites change daily (sometimes HOURLY), but right now Kari loves Cinnamon Toast…and Sprinkled Donut, and Brian loves Chocolate Covered Banana.
